Coolpad launches dazen 1 : A tough competitor to yuphoria !

India is a country with its market full of opportunities as, Google always claims it up at Google IO, as they've launched Android One handsets to bring high quality experience at an affordable price tag last year, even though it was off a pretty slow start in software department, it got Android 5.1.1 software update, Earlier than most High-end handsets ! Well thing is, people need much more at affordable price tag, just consider the fact of Oneplus One, a phone that gives a tough bite, Yet in late 2015, due it's solid specs, amazing battery backup and best software experience! This was kind-off similar in case of Yu Yureka launched by Yu televentures, a sub-company of Micromax, A phone that quickly grabbed the mid level market in India! Bottomline, is if a new company plans to enter this race they've to better at specifications, provide a stable battery backup and should run the latest, industry leading software !
Few days earlier, an Indian company named "Coolpad dazen " launched devices named Dazen X7( Coming soon) and Dazen 1. Both of which, Dazen 1 quickly grabbed attention of the mass. It had some amazing specifications like 2GB ram, a quad core processor, 720p HD display and that to under Rs.6000. It was sold out in minutes on Snapdeal!

Varun Sharma, CEO of Coolpad Dazen said, “A lot of our customers have been asking for black color since launch. We are glad to launch the black edition for Monday’s sale making it the first handset offering 2 GB RAM and 4G LTE under Rs. 6000.”
So what's all the madness about ? Let's find out, what it's rocking underneath, those bells and whistles it's creating online.

    Specifications of Dazen 1:

  •  It has an 1.2 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 410 Processor coupled with a staggering 2GB (DDR3) of Ram !
  •  It has a 5inch, 720p HD display capable of  16M colour's depth with no info regarding the pixels per inch.
  • It has 8GB internal storage equipped with expansion upto 32 GB via microSD card slot.
  • It has 8.0 MP Primary camera equipped with f/2.2 aperture ( 720P video @30fps) & a secondary 5MP Selfie camera with 22mm wide angle lens, accompanying modes like Beauty enhancing Features.
  •  Has 4G LTE connectivity, well as long as Indian telecom companies allow those high data speeds on our phones, but hey its a nice touch !
  • It has a whopping 2500 mAh battery, & Coolpad claims that its, smart power saving mode will save upto 33% more battery life. Let's see, if i can get a review unit from them i could definitely test this feature out!
  • It's stand out feature is Gesture Play, which simply means draw a specific alphabet to land on a specific app, then launch it ! ( Simply throw in Z launcher to use that feature on any Android phone)
  • It runs on CoolUI 6.0 built on top of Android 4.4, which is really sad as recently at Google IO, Android M was announced. Even though the OS gives you one specific feature, that is Split screen multitasking at a Low-range price segment, shout out to them in particular for that !
  • It has Wifi 802.11b/g/n & comes with mostly, a recent version of Bluetooth 4.0.
  • Comes at a price of Rs.5999 only !
You can find your own Dazen 1 now in black and white, tomorrow via registering here : Dazen 1, at the moment its available only via flash sales, if you need one go mark your clock's!
Will this phone be a tough competitor to Yu's Yuphoria ? hmmm.. with those splitscreen multitasking thing, i've to say they have an edge here! Coolpad, if you reading this, give an OTA software update soon to your users !
One thing, though this device has launched exclusively through snapdeal, I'll recommend Coolpad should take a moment to update their own website with phone's details instead of redirecting it to Snapdeal ! You guys have a great future, retain it !
